About Notepad.plus

Notepad.plus is an independent, unofficial fan website about Notepad++, the free and open-source source code editor for Windows created by Don HO. We publish practical, easy-to-follow guides that help people get more out of Notepad++, from installing plugins to formatting JSON and working faster with search and keyboard shortcuts.

Not the official site

Notepad.plus is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Don HO or the Notepad++ project. We do not host Notepad++ installers. Every download button on this site links directly to the official download page at notepad-plus-plus.org, so you always get the genuine, up-to-date release.

How we're funded

This site is supported by advertising, which helps cover hosting and the time spent writing and updating articles. Ads are always clearly labeled and kept separate from download links.
